Our proposal for safety valves

Safety Relief Pressure Safety relief Pressure relief Security Low pressure Italian safety valves

Today, BESA is a point of reference not only for the production and development of its traditional products, but also for service (through the scheduled maintenance service it offers) and the marketing of new products capable of satisfying a wider range of needs.

We design and manufacture safety valves suitable for the discharge of gases, vapours and liquids.

BESA safety valves are designed, manufactured and selected in accordance with the European directives 2014/68/EU (PED) and 2014/34/EU (ATEX), API standards 520 526 527 and the naval regulations of RINA, Bureau Veritas and Det Norske Veritas.

BESA safety valves cover the following ranges of application

set pressure, from a minimum of 0.2 bar to a maximum of 600 bar;
temperature, from a minimum of -200°C to a maximum of 750°C.

The materials of construction used for the standard production of the components are as follows:

cast iron
carbon steel
low alloy steel
stainless steel (ferritic, martensitic and austenitic)

For special constructions, Besa usually uses thermoplastic materials (PFA, PVDF, ETFE, HALAR) and alloys such as Inconel, Hastelloy, Monel, Duplex.

All materials used comply with current European (EN) and American (ASTM) standards

As regards the dimensions of the safety valves, models with flanged connections (EN or ANSI) are available from DN 15 (1/2″) to DN 250 (10″); while models with threaded connections are available in sizes from 1/4″ to 2″ (cylindrical GAS or conical NPT).

On request, at its own premises, BESA offers full assistance in carrying out tests by the main organisations (INAIL – RINA – GL – LR – TUEV – BV – DNV – AB, etc.).
